Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria South South Zone

TRCN operates a Zonal structure with offices spread across the six geopolitical zones of the country. This arrangement is geared towards ensuring that the end users of the Council's programmes and activities have easy access, effective, efficient and prompt service delivery to teachers and critical stakeholders.

The Zonal Coordinator ensures teachers in the zone are registered, licensed, and meet professional standards. We work closely with State Ministries of Education, schools, and education bodies to promote teacher professionalism, conduct the Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE), monitor MCPD compliance, and enforce the TRCN Act.

The South South Zonal Coordinator oversees TRCN operations across six states: Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo and Rivers.

Each state has a TRCN State Office that reports to the Zonal Coordinator. The Zonal Coordinator provides oversight, technical support, and supervision to ensure uniform implementation of TRCN policies across the zone.
