Introduction
The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is the regulatory authority responsible for registering, licensing, and regulating the teaching profession in Nigeria. TRCN exists to ensure that only professionally qualified individuals are engaged in teaching at all levels of education in Nigeria.
If you are a foreign-trained teacher intending to teach in Nigeria, you are required by law to be registered with TRCN before taking up a teaching position. All prospective teachers must possess acceptable teaching qualifications and academic credentials for consideration for registration.
