Mr. Nsima Edet Ikpeme heads the Public-Private Partnership and Economic Advisory Unit of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, leading the Council’s engagement with development partners, private investors, donor agencies, technology firms, and multilateral organisations to support its strategic programmes and projects.
The Public-Private Partnership and Economic Advisory Unit serves as the strategic arm of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, driving institutional growth, innovation, and sustainable development through partnerships, policy advisory, and investment facilitation.
The Unit advances the Council’s mandate to regulate and professionalise the teaching profession by mobilising private sector participation, development financing, and strategic collaborations. These efforts strengthen service delivery and improve educational outcomes across Nigeria.
The Unit conceptualises, develops, and coordinates Public-Private Partnership initiatives to enhance educational infrastructure, digital transformation, teacher capacity development, and revenue generation for the Council. This involves engaging local and international development partners, private investors, donor agencies, technology firms, and multilateral organisations to support the Council’s strategic programmes and projects.
Key Functions
Designs investment-driven educational projects including digital literacy hubs, teacher development centres, smart learning initiatives, and technology-enabled professional development platforms. Leads negotiations and prepares concept notes, concession frameworks, Memoranda of Understanding, and partnership agreements in line with government policies and PPP regulations.
Provides advisory services to Management on institutional sustainability, revenue optimisation, strategic planning, and emerging opportunities in the education sector. Conducts research, feasibility studies, stakeholder engagement, and policy analysis to inform decision-making and ensure alignment with national development priorities and global best practices.
Promotes innovation, digital transformation, and strategic partnerships that strengthen teacher professionalisation and improve regulatory efficiency. Positions the Council as a forward-looking institution responsive to the evolving demands of education in the digital era.
Through these activities, the Public-Private Partnership and Economic Advisory Unit contributes to institutional modernisation, builds stakeholder confidence, and supports the long-term advancement of the teaching profession in Nigeria.
