Mrs. Odumosu started her career as Training Personnel Officer with W.H. Wills & Syndey, Australia in 1981. Between 1982 and 1985, she worked as an Education Officer II at the Lagos State Ministry of Education. She later joined Light House Petroleum Engineering Company, Warri, Delta State as Senior Admin Officer in 1985. In 1992, she was an Assistant Manager (HR). She was later elevated to the posts of Deputy General Manager and General Manager (Administration). In September 2002, she joined the services of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) as an Assistant Chief Education Officer, Chief Admin Officer in 2006, Assistant Director in 2009 and Deputy Director in 2013. In September 2015, she was appointed Acting Director, Administration and Supplies.
She has also attended local and International Training programmes some of which are Productivity and Profitability Course (1991), Effective Leadership in Management, Job Search Workshop Series World Bank, Washington DC, USA (2000), Master Class Certificate in “Women in Leadership, Albion College Dubai (2012) and Human Resources Management Galilee International Management Institute, Israel (2013). She is a member of some professional bodies namely; Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Political Science Association of Nigeria. She is also a member of the Procurement Planning Committee (TRCN), member of Senior Staff Promotion Committee (TRCN). As part of Corporate Social responsibility, she is the Matron of Egbe Omo Usi (Abuja branch), member of Mother’s Union, All Saints Anglican Church (Abuja), Vice President Fountain of Hope International Society, Abuja.
Mrs. Odumosu has travelled to various Countries like Australia, United States of America, Singapore, Hong kong, Italy, Germany, Sweden, France, United Kingdom, Israel, Dubai, South Africa, Benin Republic, Ivory Coast and Ghana. She is happily married and blessed with children.
SUMMARY OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT

2.0 FUNCTIONS OF ADMIN AND HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT
The Department of Admin & Human Resources is charged with the responsibility of coordinating the internal administration and supply chain of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). The mandate of the Department includes:
i. Recruitment, confirmation of appointment, retirement, discipline, resignation of appointment, dismissal from service, maintenance of staff records, transfer and merger of service, secondment/leave of absence and internal staff deployments.
ii. Preparation and up-dating of staff list.
iii. Interpretation of government rules, regulations policies and circulars.
iv. Liaising with the Federal Civil Service Commission, Office of Head of Service of the Federation and other government agencies on establishment matters.
v. Staff Welfare matter e.g. loans and advance, health, birth, death, marriage, pension.
vi. Responsible for management and maintenance of Council’s security matters.
vii. Advising management and implementing its decision on staff matters and Federal Government Labour Regulations.
viii. Servicing the meetings of Management Committee, the TRCN Governing Board and its sub-committees and meeting of Ad-hoc Committee of Council.
ix. Procurement of office stock and non-stock items.
x. Coordinating training and development activities.
3.0 FUNCTIONS OF THE DIVISION
3.1 HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION:
The functions of the Human Resources Division include the following:
a) Appointment and Promotions
• Review of staff Established positions;
• Selection, interview and placement;
• Confirmation of appointment;
• Processing of requests for transfer of service, secondment and leave of absence;
• Internal posting and deployments;
• Preparation of Memoranda to the Management and Appointments and Promotions committee and related documents;
• Processing of documents for promotion of staff;
• Liaison with Office to Head of Service of the Federation and Federal Civil Service Commission on Establishment matters;
• Serving as clearing house for the transmission of government policies relating to Establishment and Welfare matters to the Council;
• Interpretation of Circular;
• Custodian of Government Circulars;
• Attending to inquiries from all the Departments;
• Review of Staff Information Hand Book;
• Implementation of Circulars; processing of Resignation/ Withdrawal of Appointments.
b) Grievances and Discipline
• Interpretation of the Council’s rules and regulations as it affects staff discipline and related matters;
• Processing of queries, reprimands, warnings, surcharge, termination and dismissal/appeal.
• Keeps secret and open files of all staff/subject files;
• Processing Annual Incremental Award;
• Serves as Data Bank on all staff;
• Updating of staff list and records;
• Compilations of leave roaster of all staff;
• Processing all leave request;
• Creating electronic database in liaison with the Computer Unit.
3.2 MANAGEMENT AND COUNCIL MATTERS SECRETARIAT
i. Coordinates Council board matters as may be determined by the Registrar/Chief Executive.
ii. Provide secretariat services to governing Council meetings, Management meetings.
iii. Maintains and update board membership register.
iv. Manages correspondence with board members.
v. Synergize with other departments of the Council on board and management matters.
vi. Provides records, minutes of meetings and documentations for departmental, management and board meetings.
vii. Provide decision extract for the day to day implementation of management resolutions by concerned departments.
viii. Prepares the division’s annual work plans.
ix. Other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
3.3 TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
The Training and Development Division is responsible for the following:
i. Formulating proposals for staff training policies.
ii. Implementing Management decisions on staff training and development.
iii. Advising Management on staff training needs.
iv. Produce periodic blue print on training activities.
v. Sourcing relevant institutions for short term and long term training.
vi. Maintaining a data bank for staff training and development.
3.4 GENERAL SERVICE / SUPPLIES
i. Supervising of cleaners, receptionists, drivers and the security.
ii. Processing of water bills, electricity and other utility bills.
iii. Allocation of office space and furniture items and maintenance of office equipment and furniture
iv. Transport and fleet management
v. Management and maintenance of Council security matters.
vi. Procurement of household furniture items, computer consumables etc / responsible for stock replenishment
vii. Evaluation of quotations and bills for supplies.
3.5 WELFARE DIVISION
i. Processing of loans, advances and grants where applicable.
ii. Handling matters relating to awards and benefits.
iii. Processing benefits in respect of birth, death, marriage, etc.
iv. Processing, assessing and recommending beneficiaries for long service awards.
v. Processing applications for rent/housing and transport allowances.
vi. Sourcing, negotiating and purchasing welfare materials from government poverty alleviation agencies.
vii. Provision of refreshment at all meetings of Council.
viii. Organization of end of the year parties, social activities etc.
ix. Responsible for managing contributory pension scheme matter.
x. Liaising with Insurance Companies and Insurance Brokers on insurance matters.
xi. Keeping records of pensioners, liaising with Pension Fund Administrators.
xii. Advising Management on all pension and insurance matters.
xiii. Advising Management on all NHIS and NHF matters
xiv. Collection and processing of Code of Conduct Bureau forms for all senior staff.
